Infinitas continues it’s triumphant March towards heroic difficulty domination with a fresh MekkaTorque kill last week! The discord became a cacophony of battle cries as we brought this stuck up little gnome down to his knees. As he fell we continued to savagely beat him as we screamed into our microphon… ahem, yea we got him.
Feeling confident we took on the Blockade, or as everyone is now calling it, the Blockage, imodium anyone? Jokes aside, we thrashed the boat phase like it was nothing, and we ended up getting Blockade down to about 38% in just a few short pulls. We will definitely be on Heroic Jaina this week!
As is our tradition, I present to you our kill graphic, created by none other than the Bigtuna himself. This one is especially referential:
After a few weeks of rebuilding our raid core, we finally powered through Heroic Conclave. We marched our way to King Rastakhan, spirits were high and focus was tight, and we were riding ‘high’ (take that as you will) from our victory. We ended up taking down the King in just two short pulls!
After taking King Rastakhan down so quickly we were feeling quite cocky and started to tackle Heroic Mekkatorque. This fight is no small feat, it requires coordination, focus, and a silent voice chat during the color combination phases. The mechanic I was most worried about turned out to be a mechanic we excelled at. After only a few pulls we found ourselves consistently getting Mekkatorque down to 10-15%! But boy is that a tough 10%.
While we did not down him last night, I’m confident he’ll be dying next Tuesday or Wednesday when we face him again. In celebration of our new King Rastakhan kill, Bigtuna has crafted us a fine piece of media:
We’re always looking for fun players, so check out the contact us or recruitment page and send us a tell or e-mail.
We’ve been blazing through heroic ever since we downed Jaina. We’ve found ourselves clearing Heroic Conclave and putting it on farm in just one raid night of beating our stubborn heads against the wall. It’s such a great feeling when you spend the entire raid night progressing on one fight, and at the end of the night, final pull, you down em! What a great feeling!
Not once did we ever go backwards on our progress, never stagnating, improving each and every pull until we downed them. Heroic Conclave is one of the most mechanic heavy raid bosses I’ve had the pleasure of doing. It was no mean feat for us to take it down so quickly!
In celebration, Bigtuna/Nydus has graced us with one of his amazing boss clear graphics:
Infinitas is always looking for people that want to have fun while progressing. If this is something that sounds good to you, feel free to contact any of the officers in game!
I have recently added to our about section as well, check it out if you’re interested in what Infinitas is all about!
Despite many of our members cancelling their subs this expansion, we managed to get a normal clear done just last week. We were having a blast with the Normal Jaina fight, but we decided we had enough of her shenanigans and brought her down along with Heroic Champs and Heroic Grong on the same night!
Next week, our main raid will be nixing normal mode in favor of working on Heroic progress. Our normal mode raids will take place on Sunday, during the ‘alt’ raid. So sign up if you still want some normal action this week, I’m pretty sure I’ll be there as well!
Currently, we’re finding ourselves usually a bit short on healers, having DPS mains fill in, so if you’re a competent healer and looking for a fun raid group, look us up!
Slacking a bit on posts. We managed to down Heroic G’huun and Mythic Taloc a few weeks ago as a guild on the night of October 18th! Usually we go for primarily clearing heroic before the next raid tier, but any extra time (read Wednesday raid) we have, we’re working on Mythic progression. Hopefully we’ll be downing Mythic Mother soon!
Some infinitas folks got a chance to meetup last Saturday at 2 Silos Brewery in Virginia and drank some beers whilst playing some Bocce Ball and Cornhole. It was a lot of fun!
Here’s photographic evidence:
From Left to right: Sosa, Prance, Grotok/Gwy, Red, Nydus, Priya
I can confirm that Prance appears to be 6′ 5′ as he towers above my 6′ 1′.
[H] 7/8 Already! Heroic G’huun going down next week!
Been slacking on the posts, as we’ve continued trucking through heroic!
Last post, we had just started out Heroic progress with a Taloc and Mother kill. We have quickly been making progress each week. We quickly trounced Fetid and Vectis, then only taking a few attempts on Zek’Vos , the beetle man fell! After those short two weeks we were already hitting up heroic Zul and Mythrax!
Just this week we downed Heroic Zul and Mythrax. Amazingly enough, heroic Mythrax was downed after only a few serious attempts. Well done team! One more to go!
We then got to see the craziness that is heroic G’huun. G’huun may be a bit of a speedbump for us, but I’m confident we’ll be officially be ‘Ahead of the Curve’ next week for certain! Watch out for all the fuzzy balls and poop humor! ( invites these antics!)
Infinitas coming out strong for BFA with a full clear in the first week and two heroic bosses down!
Our first raid night we went in with a full 30 person raid and got all the way up to Zul. The next night we downed Zul and Mythrax, but got a bit stuck on G’huun.
We went in with a smaller crew on Sunday night and managed to down G’huun after a few pulls. After that we decided to try cutting our teeth on heroic. We managed to very sloppily take down Taloc on our first pull. After a few attempts on Mother we finally toppled her as well!
This week we plan on clearing Normal in one night and hitting up some Heroic progression. Let’s see how fast we Heroic clear!
We’re going back to our roots this expansion and I have a very special picture mocked up by none other than Bigtuna: (formerly Nydusdrop)
As usual you can find our raid logs for the week here:
We’re still around and ready to rock for the Battle for Azeroth expansion. Despite the polarizing actions of our Warchief, we stand united and ready to crush some Alliance, and some raid bosses. For the Horde!
We’ve had quite a bit of growth with BFA coming up and we will more than likely be fielding a maxed out 35 man raid team for our main group! We have a lot of old timers and friends coming back, and it is going to be a blast. But have no fear, we’ll be running two raid groups, so plenty of room for everyone! You can see our raid details on the Raiding tab, complete with schedule and our raid leader contacts.
In addition to raids, we will be hosting weekly Rated Battlegrounds as well, possibly even multiple times a week depending on interest.
If you’re a guildless Hordie still looking for a home, hit us up and see if you like hanging out with us. You can find our officer contacts on the ‘contact us’ page.
